Events

Part of what makes POW unique is our grassroots support. Community organized events serve as great opportunities for sharing POW’s mission with friends, neighbours and other like minded outdoor enthusiasts. If you’re interested in organizing a POW Canada event, let us know and we can work with you to ensure it’s a success.

Programs

We believe that educating and empowering the next generation to be future environmental leaders is one of the most important things we can be doing to address climate change. Leveraging the influence of our group of professional athletes to engage and inspire the students is a powerful way to do that.

Our program, Hot Planet, Cool Athletes has been developed in partnership with the University of Waterloo and the Canadian Climate Atlas and ties into provincial curricula. The program is delivered in participating schools by world-class athlete ambassadors, with real world experiences who can help to frame the climate conversation as “cool”.

The goal of the Hot Planet, Cool Athletes program is to inspire students to be climate leaders in the their schools, communities and beyond. This generation has the capacity to Protect Our Winters.

Thanks to our program partners, the Hot Planet, Cool Athletes program is free to any school interested in educating teens about climate change through an in-person, energizing, and informational climate assembly.

Interested in having us visit your school in Fall 2019 or Spring 2020?  We’d love to.  Just give your details below and we’ll be in touch:
